Dental Information
Registered students are
required to have dental insurance — either through the Caltech Student
Dental Insurance Plan or another source such as your parent’s employer. If
you have other dental coverage, you can waive the Caltech plan (there are no
specific waiver requirements).
The Caltech Student
Health Insurance Plan does not cover dental care.

Your 2011-2012 Student Dental Plan Information-Effective 10/1/2011:
The Enrollment/ Waiver
Period for the 2011-2012 academic year is July 5 – August 26, 2011.
All eligible students
must choose
to enroll or waive the Student Dental Insurance Plan during the Student
Enrollment/Waiver Period (July 5-August 26, 2011). To make your elections

If you do not enroll or
waive by the end of the Enrollment/Waiver Period, you will automatically be
enrolled in the Student Dental Insurance Plan. Please keep in mind that
waiving the Student Health Insurance Plan does not automatically waive your
participation in the Student Dental Insurance Plan — they are separate
elections.

Student Dental ID Cards
If you are a new enrollee
in the Student Dental Insurance Plan, you will receive a dental plan ID card
this September. If you are currently in the Student Dental Insurance
Plan, you will not receive a new ID card. If you would like an additional ID card,
you can print one yourself at Delta's website,

or call Delta's customer service to request one at 800-765-6003.

Discounts for
eye exams, eyeglasses and contact lenses are available through the Student
Health Insurance Plan. For additional information, please visit
