New for 2009-2010 — you must enroll or waive this summer!

Beginning this year, all students must make an annual election enroll in or waive the Caltech Student Dental Plan for the upcoming academic year. To make your election for 2009 – 2010, please submit your Dental Enrollment Form or Dental Waiver Form to the Benefits Department at MC 161-84 by August 31, 2009

Please keep in mind that the Caltech Student Health Insurance Plan does not cover dental care, and enrolling in the Health Plan does not automatically enroll you in the Dental Plan — they are separate elections.

If you have questions about enrolling or waiving, please contact the Benefits Department at x6443.

 About the Student Dental Plan

The Plan is offered through Delta Dental, and is called “DeltaCare”. It is a managed-care “Health Maintenance Organization” (HMO) dental program. There is no deductible, and many routine dental expenses (including exams/cleanings) are fully paid for by the plan. For other, non-routine treatments the plan provides coverage after you pay a flat-dollar copay. When you enroll, you must select a Delta Dental HMO network dentist.
